Embroidered Flower Brooches

Learn the joys of textural woven wheel stitch (it’s easier than it looks!) and create your own beautiful, embroidered brooches as little pieces of wearable art! During this workshop you will learn the woven wheel stitch, alongside several other basic stitches to help you to make your own flower garden. Ideal to give as gifts, the workshop is suitable for complete beginners to intermediate ones.

Initially stitching your brooches in a larger hoop, they will then be transferred into decorative craft hoops in your choice of size and shape. Also provided will be optional beads, trimmings and other little fun ‘bits’ to play with and add in to make your hoops personal to you.

At the end of the class you should have completed two brooches to take home.

If you don’t want to turn your hoops into brooches, you could turn them into wearable pendants, magnets or simply pop them on a shelf as a display.
