Visitors to my website

When someone visits www.dottytextiles.com information is gathered on my behalf for sole purposes of enhancing your experience and to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.  This is for information purposes only, such as finding out the number of visitors to the site and improving how I can interact with my customers and visitors.  This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone.  I do not make, and do not allow Wix to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting this website. Wix themselves have third party providers to assist in this collection of data, and you can see their full privacy policy here.  
 
If I do need to collect personally identifiable information through this website I will be up front and honest about this. I will make it clear when I am intending to collect personal information, and will explain what I am going to do with it, and give you the right to opt out if you wish.

Customers

Should you wish to contact me through this website using my contact form (for example, to get in touch about a commission enquiry, workshop or an order) then I will require some personal information from you in order to send you a reply - your name and your email address.  I will use this information to correspond with you.  Your data will not be shared with any other individual, business or organisation.

Any purchase you make from my website is processed through the Wix shop or through a third party website, Etsy, where you will be redirected when you visit my 'Etsy Shop' page. To process your order I will need your name and address, for posting purposes. I may also have your Etsy username, if you use one, and your email address to confirm the order and dispatch of goods. No information is held anywhere other than the aforementioned sites and will only be held for the purposes mentioned above.

Information held by me

Once your order has been completed I may hold your name and order number on a spreadsheet for my personal records to identify what has been sold for accounting purposes. Your email address may be held separately on file should you wish to sign up to my email newsletter, or be contacted at a later date for private correspondence. This will only be done through pre-agreement and never covertly.

Email subscriptions are held by the Mailchimp marketing platform and should you subscribe you acknowledge that your email address will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing.
