The terms ‘Dotty Textiles’ or ‘Beth’ or ‘me’ or 'my' or ‘I’ refers to the owner of the website. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of my website.

All images of textile artwork, original works of textile art and printed products containing imagery of my work are copyright of the artist, Beth Power (TA Dotty Textiles). Please do not copy, reproduce or use these images in any format without first obtaining the permission of the artist.
When placing your order (either on the website or through Etsy)
Prices and Payment Terms
Product prices shown on my website are inclusive of VAT. Depending on your location, you may be required to pay a further import or customs tax as per your countries' regulations. This will not be shown or included in the shop purchase.
Postage and packaging costs in the UK and internationally is also shown.
Product prices shown in my Etsy shop are inclusive of VAT, postage and packaging. At the checkout an automatic sales tax may be added by Etsy as per your countries' regulations.
When you place your order payment must be received in full before any commissions started or orders processed. This represents an offer from you to purchase the product and I will indicate my acceptance via email confirmation. All commissions will be discussed with you via email or via Facebook private message prior to the sending of any invoices.
Paypal Orders – You do not need a Paypal account to use this payment method. It is a safe and effective way to purchase goods online and I will always send a Paypal invoice which you will receive in your email inbox (email address and name are required for this). Bank Transfers are accepted as a method of payment if required for commissions or payments for products made outside of Paypal, website shop or Etsy. Please let me know if you would prefer to pay this way. Transfers must be cleared before any work is started on commissions. Cheques are no longer accepted.
All personalised artwork and commissions are bespoke and are undertaken in the understanding that they will be designed and completed in the style of the artist, Beth Power (TA Dotty Textiles). Beth will work closely with you throughout the process to ensure that the artwork is exactly what you need. Please ensure that all information provided is correct as changes made due to customer error may be charged. Please note that these products are handmade and use pre-printed/coloured fabrics which feature designs and patterns not designed by the artist, but used and interpreted in a novel way. Due to the nature of the fabrics, there may be some fraying or loose fibres which should be appreciated as the nature of the materials used.
Frames – Should you require a framed piece, the frames used as standard are a plain, wooden, contemporary box/deep frame, again provided by a third party (they are not made to size by Dotty Textiles). Colours usually available are natural wood, white or black. The artwork will be stretched on board and mounted in the frame by the artist. Card mounts are hand cut to size to fit both the artwork and the frame.
Delivery & Returns
Delivery Dates on commissioned artwork – All commissioned artwork is unique to you and is embroidered to order. Depending on the size and amount of stitched detail required, pieces can take up to 50 days to complete, although I will send out times more tailored to your requirements and will agree this before time. You will also be sent updates of the progress of the work throughout so there will be a clear idea of how progress is developing. If you require your piece of artwork for a specific date then please leave a sufficient amount of time for work to be completed and posted to you.
UK Delivery – I use Royal Mail to post all UK items and the cost of this is clearly indicated on the site or as quoted for multiple purchases.
I will use the address specified by you on your order / invoice for posting, so please ensure that this is accurate. I cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods whilst in transit (unless this is caused by my negligence). I will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery, but delivery times are not guaranteed. Should the delivery address provided be in correct and the item returned to me, you will be contacted via email or by private Etsy message. Please be aware that a second postage cost may be required depending on the value of postage needed.
If you would like to check on the status of an order then please email me at email@example.com, or through the messaging service provided by Etsy, quoting your order number.
International Orders – Overseas orders will be sent using Royal Mail international standard, or international tracked, unless of a large parcel size (usually for larger commissioned pieces) in which case ParcelForce will be used. Items sold through the website or Etsy will have prices for this detailed in your cart at the time of purchase. For commissions, please contact me for a quote on size prior to ordering.
Please note that UK orders sent via Royal Mail are subject to Royal Mail terms. Parcels are not considered lost/ missing by the Royal Mail until 15 working days after the sending date. I am therefore unable to resend or refund for orders lost in transit until 15 working days after the order sending date. Tracking information, or proof of postage is available upon request. International orders may take longer. (Edit April 2020: Due to the Coronavirus, I have been receiving customer feedback that deliveries are taking between 6-8 weeks to arrive for International orders. This is due to reduced postage personnel, reduced travel, local circumstances and additional virus precautions. I have added further information on my Etsy shop notice and in the Etsy FAQ section. Your order confirmation will also contain this information, please be patient whilst we work through this difficult time.)
Returns Policy – For items sold through the website or through Etsy I am happy to accept returns if contacted within 14 days of the order delivery. Returns must be dispatched within 30 days of delivery and arrive in good condition for a full refund. (No refund will be actioned until the item/s are returned.)
Postage costs for goods returned due to a customer order error or change of mind will need to be funded by the customer, any orders that are incomplete, damaged at time of packaging or incorrect will be fully refunded on postage costs as well as the order value.
Commissioned pieces are bespoke and created to your particular specifications so I’m afraid I cannot offer refunds.
Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order – You will need to provide me with your e-mail address and I will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and to confirm details.
Changes to terms – I reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.
Law, jurisdiction and language – This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.
