Felt Stitched Summer House

Create your very own dream summer house using a range of materials from felt to fabrics, laces to ribbons and more! This workshop is a great way to broaden your stitching knowledge and to experiment with a range of materials to create a house and garden scene. The workshop is suitable for complete beginner young stitchers to advanced ones as you can add as much or as little to your hoop as you like.

We will be using simple shapes to build up a cottage scene, but you will be the creator so each hoop will be different and completely unique. Will your house have lacy curtains in the windows, or strange and mysterious plants in the garden? Stitches you will learn include running stitch, back stitch and blanket stitch – although who knows where the class will take us and what other stitches we might uncover?!

At the end of the class we hope that you will be confident in threading a needle, happy with some basic stitches, and proud of your amazing stitched picture!

Your hoop can remain as a framed hoop picture when finished, or you could turn it into the centrepiece for another project (a cushion or bag for example).
