Stitched Felt Button Garden

An ideal starter workshop to introduce young stitchers to experimenting with needle and thread and opening up their creativity. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners to intermediate ones.

We will be creating a playful gardens using pre-cut felt shapes and buttons to form simple flowers and leaves. Stitches you will learn include running stitch, back stitch and blanket stitch – although who knows where the class will take us and what other stitches we might uncover?!

At the end of the class we hope that you will be confident in threading a needle, happy with some basic stitches, and able to sew on a button!

Your hoop can remain as a framed hoop picture when finished, or you could turn it into the centrepiece for another project (a cushion or bag for example).
