About the event
On Saturday 20th July the Sussex Stitchers are having their first Open Day.
It will be at St Mark’s Church Hall, Green Lane, Bexhill-on-Sea in the Patrick Bodle Room from 10:30- 4pm. Entrance is £3. An exhibition of our members' work will be available to view, showing everything from cross stitch to stump work, machine and hand embroidery.
We are also delighted to be including an exhibition of Sussex embroiderer, June Cox, who has made some exquisite embroidered boxes, tray cloths and patchwork items.
Jane Gould, a local potter will be showing and selling her work.
Beth Power of Dotty Textiles will be on hand with her kits and beautiful embroideries.
Finally, besides tea, coffee and cake there will be demonstrations of English Paper Piecing and hand embroidery techniques supported by a sale of embroidery and textile books and threads.
