Soft Spring colours have been included in this Tapisserie wool yarn pack by Anchor and would make a wonderful addition to your thread/yarn collection.
The wool itself is fairly hardwaring with a tight twist, designed specifically for tapestry and needlepoint uses. For Stitchscape use they can be stripped down (they start out as 4 ply) and made thinner almost like a stranded embroidery floss - but please note that you may need to lightly retwist the fibres after stripping as you will have reduced the strength of the twist.
Ideal for use as chunky french knots in trees, bushes or flowers, or for a different texture for branches, stems and fabric edgings. Perhaps even take it back to its fibre form for felting.
The pack includes 18 full skeins in soft shades, and a free bookmark pattern chart (if you don't want to use the wool for freestyle stitching!)
