This is a beautiful soft grey batik fabric with wax resist line drawn flowers resembling Dahlias or maybe Chrysanthemums.
Batik fabric by nature is usually a really tightly woven cloth and can be used right up to the edge of the fabric. Each side is different and each little section is different which makes it a totally unique way of decorating the material, and each thing you make with it unique too.
This particular fabric is hand dyed and 100% cotton. It may have some elements of the wax used to create the pattern leftover (which can be ironed off under a piece of kitchen towel.)
It has been cut up into manageable fat quarter size pieces and folded into cute little samosas! This particular fabric has worked out to be approximately 56cm x 50cm.
Please note that because it is hand dyed, your colours may differ slightly from those shown in the photos. The colour itself may also differ due to looking at it on a screen.
