Part of my original rock felt Stitchscape trio, this highly textured piece features the fabulous felt rocks surrounded by mad multi-coloured loops of 2mm purl in all different heights and directions. The slight sheen of the metallic purl contrasts beautifully with the soft felt rocks and colour balances with the selection of embroidered fabrics further up in the hoop to make this soft, early dawn inspired piece really sing out!
The hoop is finished on the back with a circle of white acrylic felt and a signed tag and is ready to hang on your wall, prop on your bookcase or display on a mini easel or plate stand. (Easel in photos not included.)
The embroidery has been created using layers of pre-printed cotton fabrics which have then been embellished with intricate hand stitches to create a beautifully textured piece. Further layers and texture has been added to make this a really dimensional textile hoop.
There may be loose threads at the edges of this piece which have been intentionally left as part of the artist's appreciation of the nature of the fabrics.
The hoop size is a 12cm/5" embroidery hoop which has the following outer dimensions:
Outer Hoop 13.5cm wide by 14cm high (including the hoop's screw)
Hoop Depth 1.5cm
